The S.L. Baker Room $199 More Rooms

The S.L. Baker Room is right at the top of the grand front stairwell. This room is named for the original owner of the house. If you like turn of the century oak furniture, you'll love the quartersawn oak queen size bed decorated with carved appliques of the ancient Goddess Isis. The working oak mantled fireplace houses fantastic Art Nouveux ceramic tiles in a thistle motif. This room features a TV/VCR/DVD combo.

The bathroom has a corner two-person whirlpool bath that sits under a matched pair of large stained glass windows. A shower and ceramic tiles in the natural theme of botanicals depicting various herbs complete this wonderfully romantic bath. A side view of the river stretching south rambles from the bedroom windows. A mid-eighteen hundreds church is also visible. At times you can see paddle wheelers steaming their way up and down the Father of All Waters.
